The Finance Ministry has repeated that the banks need to cut its loaning rates in the presence of the fact where Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given unwinding on its key approach rates. But, currently SBI’s new lending rate is at 8.65 % against previous rate 9.55 %.  Likewise, other banks like ICICI, Dena Bank, Punjab National Bank have also lowered their interest rate for better response to home loan borrowers.”
